What comes next

Dates needed to start your fundraiser:

Start date: When would you like your fundraiser to begin?
End date: When would be the last day to place an order?
Distribution date & time: This will be when everyone will receive their products at your school.

It would also help to know:

  • Who updates your school’s webpage?
  • Do you have social media? (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Do you have email addresses for students/parents?
  • Who updates your school’s newsletters or daily bulletins?
  • Can you promote the fundraiser on your school’s bulletin boards or school signs?
  • Do your students have take-home folders?

Kicking off your fundraiser and sending reminders are vital to its success.

The Kick Off

A huge part of how your fundraiser will flourish is determined by how it is “kicked off”. Since our fundraiser is done completely online, understanding the methods available to advertise is very important. Email is the best means of contact for most families.

The distribution of all marketing materials is incredibly important to the success of the fundraiser.

Reminders are a must! Announcements, parent-teacher night, sporting events, emails, virtual classrooms, and social media are some ways your school can help remind the kids and parents to stay on top of their sales. Urge parents or older children to email and use social media to share the fundraiser with friends and family.

Motivating

We highly recommend adding an incentive of your own for the top seller. It could be a gift certificate or even a special privilege prize. If you decide to allocate a few dollars of your profit for a prize, it will be well worth it!

Wrapping Up

Make sure you let everyone know a week before orders are due and create a sense of urgency. I would suggest sending out reminders as often as possible. Facebook news feeds will drop down the page; re-post your fundraiser often to keep it near the top.

Product Distribution

There are two options for product distribution:

  1. Habilitat’s fundraising representatives can handle product distribution for you. A drive through pick-up for your customers would be set up in your school’s parking lot. Following all CDC guidelines.
  2. The school’s faculty can coordinate the distribution. We will deliver all products along with a detailed purchase list to your school.

Closing Out

We will send you a copy of all customer sales received from your school. Once everything is accounted for, we will set up a meeting to drop off your profit check.
